as part of my brief i wanted to design some cards or labels to give with the boxes or bags of sweets as if they were gifts for people. i decided to design some labels which could attach to boxes or big sweets like lollies. i choose a few sweets i would use as the shapes of labels one side the colour/image and the other to write a message on. i printed them out to see what they look like and if there the right size, i found it hard to cut them out as they were hard shapes. so i used the plotter. the shape look really good and i am really happy with them i then punched out a hole and attached ribon.

in the last project i got some business card made, by a website called moo cards and i used this website to create some stickers which called seal the box shut. i upload single image of my sweets and ordered 60 stickers. i also spoke to malcom about the sealing of the boxes and he liked my sticker i got made but he thought they wouldnt stay sticky very along so he showed me away of changing the tray boxes so they would stay closed.

once i designed the ideas for my four boxes, i printed them out on paper and i made them up so i no they work. the boxes looked good however i need some way of them closing properly and some way of resealing them once opened.

i planned alot with my packaging as i want them to work well and look good, i had a few ideas for the packaging so i started designing to image for the inside of the boxes. first the 100gram boxes i wanted to use the grouped sweets in the inside of the boxes and then a words or phare describing the feeling or sound made when you eat sweets

did some first hand research, with my made up boxes i brought packs of sweets all different sizes and weighted them so i no what size need my boxes

find some good templetes for my boxes i made them up to see how they would wrk. ive choose two i am going to made im making two 50g boxes and two 100g boxes.

Once my stationary sets was finished, i started researching different packaging and finding different templetes to help me design my boxes. I find many different templetes and tried them out they all worked well but some of them were a bit to much, so i went with to simpler boxes.

Once my logo was finished i designed a simple layout for the stationary, i wanted to keep everything with a lot of white space so the logo would stand out. I then designed a group of different sweets which i could apply to my other items like packaging and the back of my business card.

From the paintings and the filo models, i started designed single sweets in illstructer i then arranged the sweets and final created my final logo. i then added the name and choose a font which went well with the style design.

I used paints to designed ideas for a logo and the inside of my packaging. I started painting sweets and single sweets and then stripes which may work for in inside of my boxes. I really liked painting it was alot of fun. I also designed some single sweets from flio clay which you put in the oven so they go hard and dont break. I then arranged them in different ways to help me get an idea for my logo and then photographed them.

My research is a big part of how i got my ideas for my logo, i researched into lots of different medias and i used them to designed my own logo. i used paints and clay to help me come up with my final logo.

In today lesson i was feeling a bit down I'm finding it really hard to get started with this project, i just feel like I'm getting no where. I was really looking forward to this project i just cant get going. I spoke to Malcolm that i feel like I'm not going any where and we looked though the work i already had and the research id bin looking at, and he thinks i need to spend more time looking at different things and find things i like and that i feel can give me some good starting points, something like hand written design. So i need to do this and show james on friday what i feel can help me get started.

Today was are day off college, i wanted to start collecting packaging to look at for research, so i find some packaging at home and i also went up the mall to ask in hotel chocolate and other chocolate shops if they had any packaging left from Christmas but sadly they never. I also start cutting out thing from magazines relating to Valentine's day as i want to create a collage as one of the card i will be making.

In today's lesson i used my time to go to the library and use the Internet to do some research. i did some general research into all of my final outcomes like packaging, logo etc. i find many good looks but wasn't sure whether they were going to help me as they were food based but not the thing i was looking for i don't think. I'm going it try and design some ruff ideas for my logo using some of my research.

Today's lesson was all about our briefs we sat round together and read one others brief then we gave feed back about what they our doing, if the brief was written good and any other things we think should be added to it to make it better. In my brief i need to add some more information about about sweet shops and add in some other outcomes to my brief. I now need to looked into sweet shops, logos designs and start designing to ruff ideas.

Today's lesson we were carrying on with our websites from are still images handed in for sp3. I had not finished the layout for my final stills so i new to carry on with them. Oli first show was how to sort out all our files out so they are in separate folders, so they are easy to find. He then showed us how to get started in Dreamwever, i now need to finish my pages for the website.

Today was our first day back and the first day of our new brief. We started by talking thought the module hand book, looked at the out comes we should have and criteria for the different grades. We then spoke about our brief and what our final pieces our going to be, then we had to complete our brief for Friday's lesson with James, adding any other information that need to be in them. I spoke to Malcolm about my brief, he liked the ideas i had but its needs to have more creative products in it and things i have done before like packaging.
